What Stakk is
Stakk is a visual library of software. It brings together apps, tools and resources picked one by one, with profiles that explain what each product does, who it's for and roughly what it costs.
It isn't an open directory. An editor reviews every product and decides whether it gets in. Not everything does.
Why it exists
Choosing software takes time. Many comparisons are written in English for other markets, and plenty of them blur opinion and advertising.
If you work at a small business or on a team in Latin America, you have different questions. Is the interface available in Spanish? Does it issue electronic invoices in your country? Does it accept local payment methods? How fast does the price climb as your team grows?
Stakk exists to help you find software with sound judgment, in Spanish or English, with those questions in plain view.
How products are chosen and organized
An editor picks every product using the criteria in our editorial policy. Being listed is free, and you can't pay to get in.
The catalog is organized in layers you can combine:
- Three types. Apps you open and use; tools you build with, such as APIs, SDKs and infrastructure; and resources you consult or reuse.
- Areas and categories. Each area groups specific categories. A product can sit in up to four, with one primary category.
- Tags. Filter by audience, capabilities, channels and Latin America–specific traits, such as a Spanish interface or local e-invoicing.
- Made in Latin America. This badge comes from the product's country of origin, not from its marketing.
- Relationships. Every profile links to its alternatives and to the apps it integrates with.
What makes a profile different
Every profile follows the same structure, so you can compare quickly:
- A short description: what it is, who it's for and what sets it apart.
- How to use it and what it's good for, with concrete cases.
- Specific pros and cons, not boilerplate.
- An approximate price, or a verified price with a date once the editor confirms it.
- Platforms, tags, alternatives and integrations.
Some profiles also include an editor's review. It's optional, signed and always written by a person.
There are no user ratings or user reviews. Instead of an average of stars, you get a clear opinion and the name of whoever wrote it.
Many descriptions are drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed by the editor. Until that happens, the profile says so.
How it's funded
Stakk earns money through affiliate links, promotion and sponsorship. Everything paid is labeled: affiliate links with a note under “Visit website”, and ads with a “Sponsored” tag. No payment changes a review, an opinion or the editorial order.
To promote your product, visit Advertise or email [email protected].
Get involved
- Suggest an app. Sign in and use the suggestion form. The editor reviews every suggestion and decides whether it gets in.
- Claim your app. If a product in the catalog is yours, claim it from its profile. You verify that you control the domain with a DNS record, a meta tag or a file on your site. After that you can propose changes, which the editor reviews before publishing.
- Build collections. Save apps, add notes and choose whether each collection is public or private.
