These terms govern your use of Stakk, a site operated by [Responsable: pendiente], located at [Domicilio: pendiente]. By using the site or creating an account, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Our privacy notice and editorial policy also apply.
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
What Stakk is
Stakk is a curated library of software and apps. It publishes informational profiles of third-party products chosen by an editor. We don't sell those products and we aren't their provider: if you sign up for one, you do so directly with that company and under its terms.
Using the site
- You can browse the catalog without an account.
- Use it lawfully and for what it's meant for: finding, comparing and choosing software.
- We may change, pause or remove parts of the site at any time. If a change affects your account or collections, we'll try to let you know first.
Your account and its security
- To create an account, you provide your name, an email address you can confirm, a unique username and your language. The information must be accurate.
- If you're a minor, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
- Your username is public. Don't pick one that impersonates another person or brand, or that's offensive; we may ask you to change it.
- Your account is personal. Don't share, sell or transfer it.
- Keep your password safe: you're responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone accessed it without permission, change your password and email [email protected].
Your content
With an account, you can create collections, write notes, send suggestions and, if you've claimed an app, propose changes to its profile.
- It stays yours. You keep the rights to your notes and collections.
- You're responsible for what you publish. Public collections and notes are the responsibility of whoever publishes them.
- License to display it. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, reproduce and display that content on Stakk, only to run the site. We stop displaying it when you make the collection private or delete it.
- Suggestions and proposals. When you send them, you let us use that information to evaluate and write profiles. That doesn't create any payment or any obligation to publish.
- Moderation. We may hide or remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
Prohibited conduct
Don't use Stakk to:
- Post content that's illegal, defamatory, discriminatory or violent, or that invades someone's privacy.
- Post other people's personal data without their permission.
- Impersonate a person, brand or company, or claim an app that isn't yours.
- Spam, run undisclosed advertising or post misleading links in public notes or collections.
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks or other third-party rights.
- Copy or scrape the catalog in bulk or by automated means to republish it without permission.
- Try to access other people's accounts or restricted areas, probe for vulnerabilities without authorization, or overload the site.
- Distribute malware or other harmful code.
- Create accounts in bulk, or open a new one to get around a suspension.
Intellectual property
Ours. The site's design and code, the selection and organization of the catalog, and editorial texts, including reviews, belong to [Responsable: pendiente] or are used with permission. You may quote them briefly with a link to the source. Don't copy them wholesale or republish them without permission.
Third parties'. Product names, trademarks, logos, icons and screenshots belong to their owners. We use them only to identify each product and report on it. Their presence doesn't imply sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement. If you're a rights holder and want something corrected or removed, email [email protected] and tell us which material it is and how you can show you hold the rights.
If you think a user posted content that infringes your rights, use the same address.
Third-party and affiliate links
Stakk links to third-party sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, pricing, availability or privacy practices. If you sign up for a product, you accept its provider's terms.
Some links are affiliate links: if you sign up through them, we may earn a commission. There's always a note under the “Visit website” button. Ads and sponsorships carry a “Sponsored” label. None of this changes the editor's opinion or the editorial order, as our editorial policy explains.
Accuracy of information
Software changes fast, and information can go out of date.
- Prices are approximate unless they say “verified on …”, and even those can change. Check the official site before you buy.
- Many profiles are drafted with AI assistance and may contain errors until the editor reviews them. The profile tells you when that's the case.
- Each product's features, platforms, integrations and terms can change without notice.
Information is provided as is, for informational purposes. We don't guarantee that it's complete, accurate or current, or that a product will fit your needs. It isn't legal, tax, accounting or technical advice. If you spot an error, let us know at [email protected].
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Stakk is provided without any guarantee that it will always work or be error-free.
- We aren't liable for damages resulting from decisions you make based on the catalog.
- We aren't liable for third-party products, services or sites, including the ones we link to.
- We aren't liable for content posted by other users.
Nothing here excludes liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.
Suspension and account closure
We may suspend or close an account, or remove its content, if it breaks these terms, if the law requires it, or if its use puts other people or the site at risk. When possible, we'll let you know and tell you why. If you think we made a mistake, email [email protected].
You can stop using Stakk whenever you want. To close your account, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account. Our privacy notice explains what happens to your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with its date. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or with a visible notice on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Stakk afterward, you accept the new version.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. For any dispute about them, you and [Responsable: pendiente] submit to the competent courts of Mexico City and waive any other jurisdiction that might apply because of your current or future domicile. This doesn't limit your rights under consumer protection laws.
