WhatsApp support stack with an AI agent
Meta's WhatsApp API, an open-source inbox, an AI agent built in n8n and your CRM. It needs someone technical; self-hosted, there's no per-agent license fee.

Customers message your WhatsApp number and the conversation lands in Chatwoot. From there, an n8n workflow decides: if the answer is in your knowledge base, the AI agent replies; if not, it hands the chat to someone on your team. What the agent learns about the customer goes into HubSpot.
This stack needs someone who can install and maintain servers. In return, Chatwoot, n8n and Qdrant can be self-hosted with no license fee: besides the server, you only pay Meta for the templates you send and your AI model usage.
If nobody on your team can maintain it, Respond.io or Wati bundle the inbox, the API and an AI agent into a single subscription.
